Dear Save a Pet- Linda,

Its been 2 weeks since we met at Pet Smart in Stroudsburg, PA, since then we have made GREAT ways with "pansey" AKA: Bailey!  She is such a joy and awesome addition to our family!  Just what we needed!  She came home that night and was sooooo scared and nervous, but within 3 days she was starting to realize.. "IM home!"  We had our first vet appointment that following Monday that turned out to be an adventure!  She, again, scared of the car ride-(not sure if she was going somewhere else) but her and the vet turned out to be "friends" (welll... for now...haha)  Bailey is said to be an aussie shep/blue heeler mix.  He (the vet) loves her markings and said she was a real "find"!

1 week has gone by and we didnt know whether or not she had a voice box.....but just then she growled at someone coming to the house!  It was a break through!  That same day she started to play with her toys!  The following day she..... was off the leash and coming to me when called!  Everyday has been a step forward with her!  My son and Bailey are "best friends"!  Although she still follows me like a shadow!  We will be starting obedience classes in 2 weeks! (Oct.)  Still working on the potty training but everyday is getting better!

This week! WHO KNOWS!  She just seems to be getting use to the whole "my House" thing!  I love her more and more every day!  Iam so thankful for the great things you and the rest of the resuceers do!  I could have come home with all of them!  Please open the attached pictures to see how relaxed she is! LOL

God Bless and Keep rescuing!

HI MaryEllen,
I just wanted to let you know what a joy and pleasure it is to have Shiloh which we renamed her Savannah.  I cannot thank you enough for her.  She is truly a blessing to us!  She is such a cuddle girl and loves to play and give "kisses" and falls asleep on my lap......in a few months she won't be able to do that...LOL!  As I said we rescued another dog back in July and I know in time Savannah will help bring her out of her shell, its just a shame that Casey didn't have the same chance like Savannah as a puppy.  We are bringing her to our Vet on Monday for a check up and also to get her micro chipped as well.  I love her so much and she is going to have the best life, she is already spoiled with lots of toys that we bought as well as family and friends! I have to say to that for 13 weeks she is so good at going outside to do her business, we were shocked at that..

Also here are a few pictures that we took of her.

Thank you again,
Barbara A. Guluzzy

Canterbury! SHE IS LOVED!

Hello ! This is an update on Canterbury! She is a 40 lb, 5 mos old German Short Haired Pointer/Lab mix - we sent away for her DNA test so we'll know exactly what she is in a couple of weeks.

We have 11 acres up in the foothills of the Catskills in upstate NY - we have a huge in ground pool for the summers and plenty of hiking in the winter. She goes skeet and trap shooting with us every weekend and doesn't care how many we miss. She is extremely smart and is picking up on training so fast! She stays her point and has yet to bark (knock on wood).

When we're out walking, we get more compliments on her and how well behaved she is. She has us up at 6:00 every morning and we're out at the park by 6:30 walking, with the mountains as a back drop. Since these walks, we've lost weight and she's gained.

I hope you enjoy the pictures!!! More to come later !
