Hi Mary Ellen, I'm sorry I haven't sent you photos and updates about
our beautiful Mickey (Kade) lately. He was neutered by our vet on
Feb.10 at about 71/2 mos. He is so loved and so loving. What a
gorgeous boy he is. So playful with his big sister Minnie and so
loving. Loves my lap!!! He could not be a happier dog and we cannot
imagine life without him. How could he possibly been in a shelter.
Thank God you saved him. I hope everyone will realize what they are
missing, and what a loss of beautiful life for the dogs if they don't
find a home. He came through his neutering perfectly. He is such a
healthy happy pup. These photos I took today but I will get a closer
photo of his face and send you. Everyone raves about his beauty and
coloring etc. When they ask what breed I just say long hair Jack
Russell mixed with a whole lot of cute. Whatever he is, who cares,
he's just wonderful that's all!
Best to you, hope all your efforts are being rewarded-they definitely
should be.

Hi Robin,
Just wanted to send you a quick update on our boy Tide. First of all our entire family is in love with him. He is the kindest most lovable dog we've ever had. He sleeps with one of us every night. We bring him to the beach and the park and love to hold him like a little baby. He gets along great with the cats and has even made a few dog friends. We will be forever greatful for making Tide a part of our family. We love him! We'll be in touch, and a picture is attached.
Thanks again,
Donna, Liz, and Tide

SON OF THE SOUTH BENJAMIN. WHAT A SPOILED LITTLE BOY HAS MORE TOYS THAN THE TOY STORE
NOTE: I am terribly sorry for the way the photos are lined up but this blog is set up this way.
Here is an awesome update on one of Julie's puppies that turned a year old on March 12th. This was Sumo but is now known as Benjamin!!!
----------------------------------------------------
Dear Ellen, Amanda and Julie
We got our little Benjamin (you know him as Samson - one of the S puppies) last saturday and have been enjoying the best days of our lives since. I have read books and was bracing for sleepless nights of whining, crying, howling, barking as i was told, upon starting his crate training that same weekend. But i have to tell you that he has not done such to us since we got him, of course we made sure we follow the potty training instructions we read in books, making sure he's done them before going to bed. He now goes into his crate voluntarily without having to offer him treats to get inside, takes his toys from us when we play with him and brings them all to his crate, and started humping all over the plush rounded pillow my husband got for him (we noticed he loves to rest his head up over my arm or his blankets when sleeping). He showers me with puppy kisses in the morning, after he eats his meals or when i get home from work. He's the sweetest thing i've ever known! He has an appointment with the vets from People for Animals, Inc. (401 Hillside Avenue, Hillside, NJ Telephone: 973-282-0890) this saturday for routine physical exam and necessary testings appropriate for his age. I'm thinking of changing the vet that i initially gave you to someone closer to home, right now i'm still looking for who's gonna work best for us. Meanwhile, he's already covered with health insurance we purchased for him from Pet Plan which allows us to choose whichever vet we want, reagardless of location, so it only made sense to choose someone that's more convenient to us with better or longer hours/days of service. Benjamin's (his name means The Son - that's what he is to us; or son from the South, or son of my right hand) policy number is ANP1007493-00 in case you have questions about his health coverage or veterinary information.
Thank you all for your efforts in succesfully getting him to us and for taking such great care of him Julie. I will be sending you follow up photos in the future, it's been barely a week but i already have tons of photos in the camera. I hope you have a safe and healthy delivery Julie!
Warm regards,
Carla

SCOTTIE NOW SPARKY IN FOREVER HOME
Touching base to tell you that the past four days with Scottie (now lovingly renamed Sparky) have been the most wonderful days our family has had in quite awhile. When we lost our Sweetie after 14 years in early fall, we debated seriously if we could ever find another dog to fill the void. While Sparky hasn’t done that, he has reminded us of the love a furry friend can bring to a home. And we are absolutely, positively IN LOVE.
He is ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Awesome personality....ADORABLE...has not messed ONCE in our home (takes us to the door)...happily goes into his crate during the day...sleeps on the floor our bedroom in his little bed every night....greets all the neighborhood kids happily as they get off the school bus...only chews on his flip-chips. He is a DREAM puppy.
Attached are some recent pictures of him in his new home. I can only hope that the family who received his brother Sid is having the same wonderful experience (honestly, I regret now not taking them both!). In fact, the kids asked if we could ever find out their contact information so we could share pics and maybe even get them together (depending on where his is).
Will continue to keep you posted.
But, again, God Bless you guys for what you do. I know it takes a lot. But I am personally thankful to you all for bringing Sparky our way.

Babs has found her home. The photo of Babs meeting her mom at the transport truck brings tears.
Hi Mary Ellen,
Just wanted to let you know that Babs is settling in beautifully!! She and
Dolphin (aka Caleb from Angie Farmer) are such great pals and play
constantly!!
Dolphin seems even happier and much more relaxed now that she is here. She
sleeps in my daughter's bed each night and is just the sweetest girl!! She
wags
her tail and back end so much that from her neck on back she is wagging!!
Attached are 2 pics from adoption day.
Thank you!!!!

This is Feather
While granddaughter is sleeping on couch, Feather is sleeping on the stool by her.
2. This is only how close Feather will let the cat get to her, otherwise she growls at the cat. Meanwhile the cat wants to play with Feather!
3. Feather after her bath.
At night Feather sleeps under the covers at the foot of the bed, she's totally house broken and if getting the hang of playing with her toys (but she preferrs the cats toys instead)! She's great company and NEVER leaves my side except when she's doing her business outside. Thank again for thinking of her for me.
Take care and keep up the good work.
