Hello.  We have had Sam, now named Scout, for over a week.  He has adjusted well to our house and neighborhood.  He enjoys his long walks around Stroudsburg, but he is still getting used to the leash.  I think he prefers to run free.  He likes to stop and meet every person and dog he sees.  He only had one accident in the house so far and hasn't been a behavior problem.  He is actually pretty quiet and stays quiet overnight.  He loves visitors, especially little kids.  His favorite toy so far is a small plush duck.  He has lost 2 teeth so far.  We are very happy to have him and he has been great company during the workday since Jason works from home.  We couldn't be happier with him.  He is lovable and playful.  We attached a few pictures.

Feel free to contact us for anything.

Thanks again for helping us adopt Scout,

Jason and Syzane

Hi MaryEllen & Linda,

Just wanted to let you know how much we are enjoying Dutchess. She is a lovely Southern girl and such a blessing for our family – we’ve been searching for one like her for a long time and had just about given up hope that such dogs existed anymore. She is already inseparable from our German Shorthair pup– they are partners in crime and play together all day long (she’s the undisputed boss of the pair, of course). She vetted OK except for a rather nasty coccidia infection, which surprised us since she wasn’t showing any diarrhea. She had her first bath a few days ago and is even prettier now. Enclosed is a photo of the “happy couple.” I had trouble getting them to stay still long enough for a snapshot – they’re usually dashing around at full tilt, wrestling, or playing tug of war (she can hold her own against her 70 lb. brother!). The second photo is her royal highness after her bath. : )

Thank you SO MUCH for rescuing her and helping us get her home!! You are doing a wonderful job!

Sincerely,

The Whites- Paula, Steve, Sarah & Viktor

Murphy in her forever home (she's the smaller one)

PINKY IN HER FOREVER HOME

Hi! We adopted Rosie Lee in September 2010 after she had a litter of pups. I just wanted to let you know that since that time she has completed her AKC Canine Good Citizen and just passed the test to become a Delta Society Registered Pet Partner Therapy dog. She will also be registered with Intermountain Therapy Dogs as a R.E.A.D. (Reading Education Assistance Dog) dog encouraging children in our economically depressed community to practice their reading skills. She is already visiting residents at our local nursing home and brings joy not only to our family but to many others in our community. You are not only saving the lives of these beautiful dogs, but enriching the lives of many people and communities. Thank you so much for the good work you do.
