Jackie and Roger

Alice,John and Roger
Mary Ellen, Linda and Shannon,
We are just thrilled with our new baby! He is the sweetest of sweets. We got up at 5:00 this a.m. and headed north for the scheduled early morning pick-up. My heart just broke when I saw his scared face ... but I knew he would be fine because he was coming home with us!
We hit snow as we entered the D.C. area and by the time we got to our neck-of-the-woods (10:30 a.m.) it was really coming down. Knowing Roger hadn't eaten or urinated since yesterday I was rushing my husband to get us home fast! (My bladder was telling me that Roger's bladder was not liking this!!) Roger was great once we got him out of the car. He peed and peed, and being scared, and not knowing his whereabouts, I could tell he was trying real hard not to freak out. He stayed real close to me and trotted right into the house. Slowly, we introduced him to Alice - she wasn't really thrilled as she has been so spoiled - but he just LOVED her ... and ... he JUST LOVES the cats! They were all very curious and had to take a peek - he was thrilled! John and I have worked with him throughout the day and he is doing amazingly well. He pooped, peed and ate. I couldn't ask for anything better!
As promised, here are a few snaps we took this afternoon. I will send better ones when he is more comfortable and knows us.
Can't thank you enough for your kindness, not only to me, but with these homeless and loving animals. WE ARE ALL THANKFUL FOR EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!
Stay tuned...I will give you an update in a few weeks.
