My name is Bianca Marino. Last September, I (along with my boyfriend, Matt) adopted a golden retriever mix puppy, Sheldon, from your sister shelter in Alabama. We got him home, changed his name to "Bear" and loved him from the minute we saw him. We're coming up on his 1st Birthday (which I figured was around July 1st) and I wanted to just send you an email to thank you for putting Bear into our lives. That dog has changed my life and I've honestly never loved anything more in this entire world. Bear is a gentle, crazy, loving, fun puppy who makes me feel honored to be a dog owner.. and drives me nuts at the same time!! (as a puppy should!) When we adopted him, his papers said golden retriever/shepherd mix. However, as he hasn't grown more than 50 pounds and shows no signs of shepherd, we did some more research and we actually believe he is a golden retriever/chow chow mix. Is that possible? Anyway, people always say he "looks like a little lion" and they're definitely right! He is my whole world and I can't imagine my life without him. So, I would simply like to give you a big THANK YOU!!! for allowing me the privilege of sharing my life with him. I've attached several pictures, just in case you wanted to see how darn cute (and spoiled) he is!!!
P.S. In a few years, we will be getting him a brother and sister and I wouldn't think of going anywhere but with your shelter.
