Hi Patricia!!! Sorry I just 'found' this e-mail today. Jake is doing wonderful! He really helps make our family feel more complete. Funny thing....... the morning of the day I got Jake (without having any plans that day to get a dog), my husband made a comment to me that I should get a bird to talk to because I own 2 African Dwarf Frogs (that I've had for 2 years) that I talk to all day. haha! Now I have Jake and he is the perfect dog and companion. Aside from going to stores, he goes with me everywhere. In the morning, he hops in the car when I take my son to school. He's spent 2 sleepovers at my parents so far (and he is SO well-behaved in the 1 hour car ride.) He sleeps in the bed with us every night and does not get out of bed until I do. I'm amazed that he does not bug me to awake to feed him or go outside! He is so easy to 'communicate' with. He was described as a lovebug, and he is! I find instead of grabbing a naughty snack when I'm bored or anxious, I sit with Jake (aka J.J) and cuddle with him. His disposition is a dream. So laid back, yet extremely playful at times. There is a small dog that lives in the house behind me and Jake will run back and forth along the fence with him. It's funny to watch! We've taken him to a parade and a dog park and he seems to like being with other dogs very much.I may add another dog to the family in the near future. People ask to pet him all the time and he greets everyone with a happy tail-wagging. Jake still does not leave me out of his sight for very long. I'm sure in his heart he aches for his former 'Mommy' and I can tell that Jake was VERY loved and he must have loved her very much as well. Jake's foster is welcome any time to visit my house should she like to see him again. Yesterday marked the 3 week mark since I got Jake, and I can't imagine my life without him. He feels very much like an angel walking by my side :-) I thank you all for the wonderful care Jake was given (and his ear mites have cleared) and that he was spared, beings it took so long for him to find a home. I have attached a couple of pictures.

Thank you again, and I may cross your path again should we decide on a live-in buddy for Jake :)

Blessings! Kelly O'Donnell
